Volunteer Visitor Role

We are seeking a volunteer visitor to engage in meaningful conversations with an elderly woman, exploring her rich cultural heritage and life experiences.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with the individual. Regular visits can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact in their community. The role involves visiting the individual once a week for approximately one hour, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, or other hobbies.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about building relationships and making a difference in the lives of others.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We would be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
