We are excited to announce the opening of our brand-new store in Warragul, and we are looking for a Fishing Sales Specialist to join our team.

The Role

As a Fishing Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right fishing gear, providing expert advice on local fishing spots and techniques, and merchandising the fishing department to ensure it is fully stocked and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist customers in selecting the right rods, reels, lures, accessories & more
  2. Provide expert advice on local fishing spots, techniques, and tackle options
  3. Merchandise and maintain the fishing department to ensure it is fully stocked and visually appealing
  4. Stay up to date with the latest fishing trends, gear, and technology
  5. Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure a great shopping experience

Requirements

  1. Passion for fishing – whether it's freshwater, saltwater, or sport fishing
  2. Strong communication skills in a friendly, approachable, and engaging manner
  3. Willingness to learn and share knowledge with customers and team
  4. Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive store environment
  5. Previous Experience: within stock, customer service, and sales within a fast-paced environment
  6. Business Acumen: understanding the local consumer market, products, and growth
