Data Centre Facilities Manager

A Data Centre Facility Manager oversees the operational efficiency of data centre facilities, ensuring high quality work and minimal impact on internal and external customers. This role is responsible for managing teams of engineering technicians, coordinating with third-party vendors, and driving improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall physical infrastructure of the data centre to ensure continuous operation and optimal performance.
- Lead and develop a team of 24/7 engineering technicians, fostering skill and process development in preparation for any condition.
- Solve problems at their root, considering broader context and collaborating with various support teams to drive improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate daily with multiple third-party vendors to ensure adherence to contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Effectively manage operations budget and expenditures, optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in critical data centre operations, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and fan pack units.
- Proven track record of people management, developing teams, and ensuring staff readiness through skill and process development.
- Ability to solve complex problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
