Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team at Lady Davidson Private Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with a wide range of conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to promote independence and functional ability.
- Liaise and coordinate with referrers, staff, relatives, and outside agencies to support patients' transition to independent living.
- Interpret assessments and implications for patient management, providing verbal and written reports to inform treatment plans.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy students and new graduate Occupational Therapists, fostering a culture of mentorship and professional growth.
Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a 115-bed rehabilitation hospital located in North Turramurra, Sydney. Our hospital provides specialized rehabilitation services across various case-mixes, including neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, cardiac, general medical, and reconditioning. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and passionate team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Selection Criteria:- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on rehabilitation.
- Clinical rehabilitation experience, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational, time management, and self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
- Ability to work autonomously, identifying and implementing program improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Proven excellence in customer service delivery, with a focus on patient-centered care and satisfaction.
- Ability to work within and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare Worker.
