Job Title: Senior Procurement Category Manager

This is an opportunity to shape the future of construction procurement in Australia, driving growth and innovation across diverse real estate projects.

  • Craft and execute strategic sourcing strategies for construction categories across various supply chain tiers (General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, OEMs) and geographies in Australia.
  • Ensure Amazon's competitiveness and maintain continuity of supply while mitigating risks across geographical and business unit boundaries.
  • Delve into construction categories and regions to add value to the procurement process by identifying synergies, benchmarking, innovation, waste elimination, and economies of scale.
About This Role

You will partner closely with Design and Construction, Real Estate, Legal, and Finance teams to shape and execute innovative category strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering measurable value creation, driving sustainability initiatives, and establishing best-in-class procurement practices across our Australian operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings, quality improvements, and risk reduction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual benefits.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
