Senior Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee the underground diamond drill fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum mechanical availability and maintenance-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead field service personnel by conducting regular visits to various mine sites where our services are contracted.
  • To provide direct and remote support to employees in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • To identify knowledge gaps in staff and assist with both direct and indirect training.
  • To develop strategies to maintain site efficiency.
  • To manage the field service mechanical trades competency matrix.
  • To conduct machinery audits to update rebuild schedules.
  • To create in-house documentation, including safety and technical service bulletins, work instructions, and procedures.
  • To participate in the Field Maintenance Forum and Maintenance Continual Improvement meetings with the Global Maintenance Manager.
  • To compile comprehensive site reports to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • To ensure adherence to site-specific requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Established experience in underground drill maintenance.
  • Advanced hydraulic diagnosis and component knowledge.
  • Relevant industry knowledge and experience in drilling practices.
  • Experience leading a team and managing contractors.
  • Proven capacity in a technical support role, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
