R&D Tax Consultant Role

FundFindrs is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Consultant to support Australian businesses in unlocking tax incentives and funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Qualification: Work with the sales team to review leads and identify potential clients eligible for tax incentives.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct discovery meetings with the sales team and clients to assess tax incentive eligibility and scope core activities.
  • Application Management: Prepare technical documentation and financial calculations aligned with AusIndustry and ATO requirements.
  • Meet with clients, collect required information, prepare project plans, and manage submissions.
  • Analyze financial reports and underlying data to prepare expenditure calculations for tax schedules.
  • Advise on and collate substantiation for technical and financial components of claims; ensure clients have required documentation.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, educate on record keeping and compliance.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify other eligible grants and assist with grant applications where appropriate.
  • Administration: Facilitate agreements, provide ongoing reporting, and coordinate invoicing with the finance team.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience preparing and lodging tax incentive applications across various industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of the R&D Tax Incentive program and DISR / AusIndustry and ATO compliance expectations.
  • Clear, professional writing skills to document technical or operational activities.
  • A team player with strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with internal teams and clients.
  • Independent worker able to manage deadlines and multiple projects.
