Job Summary

This is a highly analytical and strategic role that requires strong finance and commercial skills to drive business growth and profitability. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial models, business cases, and performance reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial or business partnering role, with a strong background in finance and data analysis. They will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing business partnering, financial modelling and business case support on project investment requests to key stakeholders. They will also be responsible for analysing financial data and results to educate the merchandise business on the levers of success and opportunities to improve profitability.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in ad hoc projects and analysis, and collaborate with key stakeholders to build detailed budgets and forecasts for the merchandise business. They will also undertake presentation of monthly results and forecasts to key stakeholders, and highlight key risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide business partnering, financial modelling and business case support on project investment requests to key stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial data and results to educate the merchandise business on the levers of success and opportunities to improve profitability.

Requirements

">
  • 5+ years' experience in a commercial or business partnering role.
  • CA or CPA qualified or similar qualification, with previous experience in a Commercial Finance environment.
  • Strong excel modelling skills with previous experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to establish a deep understanding of any business problem being analysed.
  • A positive approach to challenge and change with the ability to be agile and adaptable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
