Assistant Reservations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Reservations Manager to join our team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our reservations team, you will be responsible for guiding and training our FIT Reservations Sales Agents on their core duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing and guiding FIT Reservations Sales Agents on their core duties
  • Assisting the Reservation Manager in achieving reservation KPIs for ALL membership enrollment
  • Coaching, motivating, or disciplining team members as necessary to achieve a successful and positive team environment
  • Focusing on driving LQA, including reporting, training, and development of all team members
  • Closing liaison with the Reservations and Revenue Managers on availability, pricing, and methodology
  • Ensuring stop sells on room types, market segments, and rate levels are enforced with the team when directed by the Revenue or Reservations Manager
  • Managing all arrival checks in conjunction with the Reservations Manager to ensure seamless arrivals
  • Processing and inputting reservations following hotel standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring minimal open outstanding accounts for Reservations
  • Coordinating group reservations to ensure contract rates are loaded correctly into reservations to maximize efficiency and eliminate revenue rebates
  • Maintaining a positive selling approach to maximize yield in both occupancy

Requirements include:

  • A guest-focused personality is essential
  • Prior management or leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Hotel PMS systems, such as Opera and Opera Cloud, is favorable
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
