About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reservations Manager Assistant to join our team at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport and Sir Stamford Circular Quay. As a key member of our reservations department, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our accommodation, services, and facilities to corporate accounts, travel agents, and tour operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Reservations Manager in the daily operations of the reservations department
  • Develop strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel agents, and tour operators to ensure 5-star customer service
  • Manage group reservations and revenue-related statistics
  • Work closely with hotel management to maximize revenue across all distribution channels
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of group reservations
  • Train and develop reservations and front office team members
  • Monitor and manage third-party websites and ensure accurate updates
  • Implement incentives to promote upselling within the reservations team
  • Process travel agent commissions and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in reservations or front office, with group reservations experience essential
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy reservations system
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and management
  • Proficient in hotel systems, including GDS, Channel Managers, OPERA, and Microsoft Excel
