Role Summary:

Technician - Food Safety

Food safety is a critical aspect of maintaining public health and preventing foodborne illnesses. As a food safety technician, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quarterly cleaning audits in supermarket settings to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Perform departmental inspections to ensure adherence to food safety protocols and document findings.
  • Complete accurate and timely electronic service reports to facilitate effective communication with clients.
  • Communicate food safety improvements and resolve client issues effectively.
  • Install and maintain hygiene equipment according to specifications and standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on non-functioning equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Support new store rollouts by ensuring proper training and installation sign-off.
  • Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Deliver formal and on-the-job training as per contractual obligations.
  • Respond to customer requests and complaints promptly.
  • Maintain tool kits and field test kits, replacing expired or contaminated items.
  • Achieve 100% compliance in monthly CMX platform reporting.
Requirements:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Flexible and willing to travel with a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in equipment service, repair, and installation (chemical hygiene/food industry preferred).
  • Basic technical skills and safe use of tools.
  • Background in food safety, sanitation, or pest control (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
