Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to develop and maintain test automation tools, focusing on hardware testing for Linux distributions.

This role offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the adoption of Linux across multiple device categories and industries. Our team works at the interface of hardware and software, so we need a developer familiar with hardware to help us push the industry forward.

  • Maintain and develop new features to our Python-based test automation tools like Checkbox.
  • Invent new ways to enable remote, automated testing.
  • Help build the software counterpart to in-house designed testing hardware to aid device enablement.
  • Write functional and performance tests to support hardware enablement and protect from regressions.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of Python programming language, a quality-oriented approach to software design, and interest in test automation methodologies. Previous experience working with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions is also desirable.
