THE ROLE

This is a challenging role for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer in a fast-growing software company, We are looking for someone who can handle complex software issues and provide elegant and simple solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Review code for technical accuracy, security standards, and functional compliance.
  • Implementing new software features and bug fixes
  • Deploying software
  • Maintaining production and testing environments in AWS
  • Assisting with third level support of production issues
  • Work with our leadership team to develop our product direction.
  • Guide the development team through our projects, from requirements determination through to scope, design, build and unit testing.
  • Provide guidance in terms of best practices and compliance of software development standards.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Taking part in software development procedures by identifying and eliminating bugs to ensure the quality and efficiency of services and applications.
  • Providing backup to other team members to maintain computer systems.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong background in the following:

  • NET (Framework through to .NET 8.0). Our new development work is C# and ASP.NET Core, along with Windows Forms and WPF applications.
  • React JS, React Native
  • Extensive knowledge of clean architecture
  • Unit testing using XUnit
  • Extensive experience using AWS  (S3, SQS, EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda .NET)
  • SQL Server, TSQL
  • Redis
  • Angular
  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related subject - any relevant IT industry certification is a bonus.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution of issues.
  • The right to work full time in Australia (PR or citizen)
