The Role

This role sits within a collaborative team of Model Governance professionals, responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust credit risk model governance framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing ongoing monitoring of credit risk models to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Engaging with credit risk modellers, product risk managers, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
  • Ensuring core modelling data is managed and maintained to meet business requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Facilitating regular credit risk model monitoring forums and reviews of model monitoring outcomes.
  • Enhancing the existing model monitoring framework by adopting new tools and technologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficient data transition between environments.
  • Tracking risk issues and recommending remedial action to address marginal or unsatisfactory model performance.
The Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk analytics/management, with a detailed understanding of data management and business portfolios.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in SAS programming, SQL, R, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to learn and adapt.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative field or equivalent business experience.
