About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Westpac Institutional Bank. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our digital transformation program, Westpac One.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements for the Westpac One platform
  • Design business processes to meet project requirements and construct the business case and benefits realisation plan
  • Manage the development of detailed Business Requirements, Business Process Specifications and/or System Functional/Non-Functional Specifications
  • Review and revise documentation considering new information and/or changes to initial assumptions
  • Support testing, training and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of business and technology solutions
  • Ensure risks are managed in accordance with set risk frameworks, including governance and escalation frameworks
  • Prepare business impact and risk assessments for proposed change and/or recommended business solution
  • Facilitate challenging discussions in relation to risk with the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Identify stakeholders and develop collaborative working relations within the team and cross-divisionally
  • Lead smaller teams in eliciting and analysing business requirements
  • Lead regular status reporting as it relates to the project, including progress and risks
  • Understand and adhere to enterprise methodologies and processes such as the Transformation Delivery Standards (TDS)

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior/Business Analyst in a financial services organisation
  • Expertise in agile project processes and tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Experience managing and meeting priorities across multiple programs
  • Self-starter with ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Experience applying a risk mindset and commercial acumen
  • Good communication and influencing skills in managing stakeholder expectations
