Experienced Area Manager for Childcare Organisation

This leading childcare organisation is seeking a seasoned professional to manage its early education services in the Western area of New South Wales.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective operation of our childcare centres, leading and supporting Centre Managers to drive performance and quality within their centres. You will promote a culture that aligns with our core values and adheres to our policies and procedures as well as the National Quality Framework.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work autonomously while gaining input from their experienced team. They will also have the chance to encourage their team members to attend further training and development sessions, and work with high-quality centres that have a great reputation within the local community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Traveling to various centres around Sydney to guide, support, and mentor Centre Managers
  • Developing and implementing centre programs, systems, and operational processes to ensure successful centre operations
  • Ensuring reporting requirements are monitored, maintained, and completed on time
  • Maintaining and developing positive relationships and effective communication with Centre Directors
  • Providing effective support, guidance, and mentoring to staff members
  • Supporting Centre Directors to manage centre budgets and expenditure within budget frameworks
  • Ensuring centres operate within centre policies and procedures, licensing, legislation, and regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent approved ACECQA qualification
  • NESA accredited teacher status
  • Previous experience as an Area Manager or strong Director with proven multiple centre management experience
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience in leading a team of professional staff
  • The ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
