Data Engineering Expert

The Data Engineer Consultant role involves transforming unstructured data into a structured format that can be analyzed in a query or report.

This position develops reusable and complementary data sets, analyzing data sources and structure to design and develop data models supporting business analytics requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create data models in a structured format for analysis.
  • Develop scalable extract, transformation, and loading packages from business systems and ETL routines to populate data from sources.
  • Participate in database schema design within project constraints.
  • Interpret installation standards to meet project needs and produce database components.
  • Create test scenarios and participate in thorough testing and validation to ensure data transformation accuracy.
  • Run data migrations across different databases and applications.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and implement data table structures and data models based on requirements.
  • Analyze and develop ETL and migration documentation.
  • Evaluate potential data requirements with stakeholders.
  • Define and manage scoping, requirements, definition, and prioritization activities for small-scale changes and assist with complex change initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer Consultant.
  • Seasoned experience in data engineering and data mining within fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in building modern data analytics solutions delivering insights from large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with architecture and design of secure, highly available, and scalable systems.
  • Automation, scripting, and successful implementation examples.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and SQL databases.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred.
