We are hiring a Head of Accounting, APAC with strong leadership skills that will lead our accounting activity in the region, working together with APAC management, FP&A, IT, Treasury, Supply chain, Tax, and other functions. This position will be based in Singapore or Australia and will be responsible for all accounting operations aspects, reporting directly to the Director of Finance at corporate headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Accounting Framework: Lead the development and implementation of the accounting framework across APAC, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Accounting and Tax Compliance Support: Provide accounting & tax compliance support to regional stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting and Closing Process: Ensure timeliness and accuracy in the financial reporting and closing process to allow for insight generation to support strategic decision-making.
  • Regional Financial and Operational Processes: Define and align regional financial and operational processes with corporate finance leadership.
  • Financial Flows Management: Support APAC and country management in establishing, managing, and reporting on financial flows, ensuring alignment with APAC FP&A, APAC Supply Chain, and corporate guidelines to enhance efficiency in the region.
  • Internal Controls Framework: Establish and enforce internal controls frameworks, including expense management and travel policies.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Over 7 years of experience in a leading financial role in multinational companies.
  • Certifications: CPA with a Big 4 firm experience required.
  • Languages: Fluent in English required, Mandarin and/or Korean preferred.
  • Statutory Reporting Requirements: Extensive experience with managing statutory reporting requirements in APAC.
  • Tax Knowledge: In-depth/working knowledge of local tax, VAT/GST, and CIT requirements, as well as APAC accounting laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Industry Experience: Experience with Pharma/Biotech companies preferred.
  • APAC Finance Manager Position: Capacity as a regional APAC finance manager required.
