About the Role
Reporting to the National Retail Manager, this role is responsible for the development of the business in terms of Net Revenues (Retail Specialists Accounts), Retail + Value Market Share, Productivity Indicators (i.e. PPH, ROI Business Tools) and Visibility & Experience. This role will also oversee two Account Managers (NSW).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, Inspire and Trust (LIT) direct community.
- Execute Brand Plans across Mix of Business (Franchise, Gender, Retailer), Rankings, and Value Market Share objectives.
- Understand full potential of prestige fragrance: size, forecasted growth, distribution, key players, key brands, best practices driving growth.
- Execute the annual promotional plan by specific perimeter (launches, exclusivities, animations, people, incentives, and conversion tools) and the negotiations, ensure implementation and monitor and control budget involved.
- Execute both temporary and permanent animations with a clear focus on key locations and on permanent over temporary.
Business Management:
- Support National Retail Manager on the development of top line retail strategy
- Partner with Direct Reports to build the Territory Business Planners to set clear ambitions within specific perimeter.
- Manage and Oversee negotiations with clients in collaboration with Regional Account Managers and Account Managers
- Use the Technology available to monitor and manage the Territory Business Planner
- Support National Retail Manager in the preparation of the Net Revenue (Retail Specialists), Retail Sales + people budgets for each calendar year + reforecasts.
- Ensure day to day management of Retail + Value Market Share meet and exceed targets.
- Partner with NRM to Provide support in building SKUs for Promotional Sets and New Product Development (NPD) to Brand Managers to support lasting loyalty and retail ambition.
- Execute Market Protection Strategy in specific perimeter
- Lead the execution of 'The Puig Way' throughout the specific perimeter
- Manage the communication of information to the region effectively.
Retail Management:
- Co-Lead and partner with Marketing Team and Commercial function to build strong relationships to help drive industry forward.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, Department Store, Retail Specialists.
- Manage the Puig Oceania Retail Plans + Reports with latest estimates on a weekly basis.
- Develop and lead the strategy presentations and planning seasonally within the perimeter.
- Create a retail-driven culture in partnership with all departments to find additional opportunities within the retail plan.
- Constantly analyse shopper, sell-out, and retail information to adapt and improve the performance of the account.
People Management:
- Manage Direct Reports to achieve and exceed their objectives both personal (career progression) and professional (training + results)
- Effectively manage internal and external business Technology (VIPs, BE App, REX, ESS, PowerBI, MBO + P&D)
- Report and recommend to National Retail Manager the advancement of recruitment requests by direct reports
- Partner with Account Managers to build effective and productive instore rosters
- Manage recruitment process including timeline, pay levels, subsidy agreements, contracts, and retailer metric onboarding, VIPS lodgment.
- Execute People Tracker document including – BA levels and Ambition, People Budget, PPH Evolution and Account Overview
- Assist Training Department in implementing the below with the Brand Ambassadors:
- Training programs (Canvas in Action, Inspire, Welcome to Puig, Counter Manager)
Territory Business Planning
- Develop and monitor Territory Business Planner for specific perimeter to include:
- Tracking to Target for each region + account
- Brand Love Matrix
- Monthly Retailer Target Setting
- People Tracker
- Space + Location Analysis
- Quarterly Competitor Report
Our Ideal Regional Account Manager
- At least 8 or more years of previous experience in a Sales / Business Development position in the relevant field of beauty, department stores or FMCG industry
- Degree holder in Marketing / Business Administration or other relevant disciplines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with the rest of the team and retail partners (i.e. Head Office team, Marketing Departments, Brand Ambassadors and Retail teams)
- Strong analytical skills, efficiency, willingness to be hands-on, deadline oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Experience in using excel and PowerBI technology to analyse and drive business decisions on a day-to-day basis
