Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the development of a world-class data platform. This high-profile role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth, innovation and autonomy in a fully remote environment.

This is a critical position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our core platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a cutting-edge, scalable and maintainable data pipeline from scratch, operating in a fast-paced and highly autonomous environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a modern, high-performing data platform on Azure, focusing on near real-time streaming and high accuracy.
  • Develop and manage data models and ETL/ELT workflows to ensure data is accessible, accurate and reliable.
  • Refactor and improve existing data services, addressing critical performance and scalability challenges to support analytics and AI capabilities.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of backend or data engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Python (including Pandas) and advanced SQL.
  • Proven experience architecting and building data platforms in a cloud environment using tools like Databricks and dbt or similar.
  • A bias towards shipping and learning, with the ability to balance speed with a high-quality bar.
