Master Scheduler Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Scheduler to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that offers relocation assistance and career progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing planning, preferably in the fabrication and production industry, and possess a strong understanding of all stages of the project life cycle. They will also have well-developed organisational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage weekly production schedules and work orders, allocating tasks to relevant departments
  • Handle customer schedule changes and supply of materials issues
  • Communicate with stakeholders to maintain current relationships and provide progress updates
  • Create master production/build schedules, consolidating sales forecasts to monitor progress and meet production targets
  • Develop planning reports to highlight priorities for the production team and identify potential shortfalls
  • Plan new manufacturing projects, collaborating with respective departments
  • Prepare production specifications and plant capacity data to manage manufacturing processes, tools, and human resources

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing planning
  • Solid understanding of production planning, detailed scheduling, purchasing, and cost accounting control
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably EPICOR
  • Transport equipment experience is desirable
