We are seeking a skilled Allied Health Worker to join our team at SSI Australia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting participants who have been recently released from Immigration Detention to re-integrate into communities.
Key Responsibilities- Determine the nature of the participant's situation by interviewing the participant, assessing and accessing medical, psychological, emotional, and social information, and making on-site visits.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans to address offending risk and Allied Health concerns.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement treatment plans to help participants address current struggles.
- Attend case conferences and advocate for participants.
- Undertake a range of casework support responsibilities (e.g. maintaining accurate and relevant participant records) to assist in reporting, information sharing, and legal requirements.
- Support participants in crisis, including implementing safety plans; and working with Allied Health services and family members.
- Support participants to develop and maintain independent living skills.
- Completed a four-year undergraduate degree or a two-year Master's degree accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers or Enrolled/Registered Nurse with Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
- Experiencing working with clients from multicultural backgrounds; working with offenders preferred.
