
Claims Support Specialist

The role is focused on assisting the worker and employer with the claim process to provide timely access to required services for return to work and injury recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure administration is in accordance with guidelines and department standards.
- Coordinate support to the Personal Injury business unit in relation to data quality, claims remediation activities, and support resources during claims migration.
- Complete daily assessment and authorisation of payments.
- Manage telephone enquiries within guidelines and adhere to standards.
- Provide accurate and complete information consistent and easy to understand including options about any claim, entitlements, obligations, and responsibilities.
- Offer workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers, and providers.
- Undertake ongoing entitlement reviews in relation to weekly payments and medical expenses.
- Ensure case management is in accordance with legislation and compliance guidelines.
- Proactively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs.
- Identify and contribute to processes and practices for continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience in an administration capacity or back of house business support function.
- Case Management experience in Workers Compensation or Personal Injury is desirable.
