Our Team

From take-off to landing, Thales provides a comprehensive range of solutions to deliver dynamic Air Traffic Services, supporting the increasing demands of domestic and international travel. Leveraging our expertise, Thales Australia is set to implement a unified Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in collaboration with Airservices Australia and Defence.

This initiative will elevate safety and efficiency, minimize delays for travelers, and create opportunities for improved environmental outcomes. OneSKY is poised to revolutionize Australia's airspace, and we take pride in our role in its execution.

Your Role

The position of Air Traffic Management Operations Expert is vital for the TopSky-One project. As a member of the AOS team, you will contribute to defining and delivering a tailored data solution for end users.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Comprehending all components of TopSky-One subsystems (ATM, BYPASS, and SIM)
  • Assessing current processes and enhancing co-engineering (tools, methodologies, etc.)
  • Collaborating with the team to refine processes and methods for managing all design and development activities
  • Engaging in solution design while working closely with Product Owners and System Engineers
  • Participating in Sprint and Product Increment Demos to provide feedback on deliverables
  • Fully integrating within the AOS OPS Team to offer Air Traffic Management expertise for CMATS and actively contribute to the creation of the Operational Dataset for CMATS T&E activities

On Day One, You Should Bring:

  • Experience in Air Traffic Control management
  • Expertise in Dataset preparation for an ATM System
  • Knowledge of the Australian ATM Domain and Air Traffic Management standards (e.g., ICAO, Eurocontrol, AID)
  • A strong understanding of dataset/adaptation data objectives and their implications
  • The ability to collaborate with various stakeholders with differing goals
  • The capability to thrive in a multicultural environment and engage with a diverse range of international clients
