Pacific Operations Control Manager

A pivotal role in Air Liquide Australia's management committee, the Operations Control Manager plays a crucial part in guiding business decisions. This position involves coordinating target setting and delivering analysis based on thorough assessments of business results and historical data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and refine operational strategies to enhance organisational performance and minimise risk.
  • Engage in comprehensive strategic planning and manage initiatives to bolster financial metrics such as gross margin and net earnings.
  • Develop and manage effective business rules, conduct financial comparisons, and ensure robust financial planning and forecasting processes are in place.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Operational Control team, ensuring all members are equipped with necessary training and tools to perform optimally.
  • Play a key role in financial planning and analysis to drive profitability and ensure the company meets its financial targets.
  • Work closely with the MD, Cluster, and Entity Senior Management teams to define forecasts and targets, and have direct impact on our operational and strategic outcomes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Commerce.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial forecasting and strategy development.
  • Excellent people management and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial gas business and operations.
  • Understanding of ERP and BI systems.
