Project Estimator Cadet Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Management and Estimating team with day-to-day tasks, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Undertake quantity take-offs and detailed estimates using Estimating Software, developing expertise in cost management.
  • Assist in coordinating tasks and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, fostering a culture of efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring project goals are met at the highest standards.
  • Monitor project costings and monthly progress claims, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in materials and sub-contractor procurement, building relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure the flow of information from clients to the team, maintaining open communication channels.
  • Support WHS compliance, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Tender and other documentation filing, maintaining organized digital records.
  • Booking engineering and council inspections, coordinating site visits.
  • Reviewing design and engineering plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Enrolled in Civil Construction Management or similar Degree (minimum 2nd year).
  • Practical experience in construction is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Previous experience with Cubit Estimating and Buildsoft Software would be advantageous.
  • A willingness to learn with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and part of a team.
  • High level of written and verbal communication.
  • Professionally groomed and presented.
  • Proactive approach and take ownership of tasks provided is essential.
  • Resourceful and produce solutions.

Office based in Marsden Park NSW 2765. Minimum 3 days a week required. Flexible working days around university commitments will be provided.
