Opportunity for a Freelance Video Editor

We're seeking an experienced Video Editor to support the launch of a new YouTube channel. As a remote freelancer, you'll edit a first full-length video and produce a short-form version optimized for social platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit a 4-minute YouTube video with polished pacing, cuts, and transitions
  • Produce a 45-second version optimized for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok
  • Add captions, background audio, and simple on-screen graphics to enhance engagement
  • Ensure deliverables are in correct formats for YouTube and social media platforms
  • Provide export-ready files and editable project files for future use
  • Apply feedback and revisions promptly to align with creative vision

Requirements:

  • Proven experience editing videos for YouTube, Shorts, Reels, or TikTok
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling tailored to digital audiences
  • Knowledge of current social media video trends and platform-specific requirements
  • Ability to add captions, background music, and light motion graphics
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration and incorporating feedback
  • Availability to deliver high-quality edits on schedule with attention to detail
