Immigration Law Firm Seeks Paralegal Student Assistant

We are a leading boutique Immigration law firm based in Parramatta, Western Sydney. Our practice focuses on providing legal advice in all immigration matters.

Our team is comprised of passionate and motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds who succeed through teamwork, communication, creativity, and lateral thinking.

We have an exciting opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic Law student/paralegal to join our practice on a part-time basis. This role involves administrative assistance and working with friendly colleagues.

This position requires the individual to provide support to our solicitors, work up to 4 days per week, and be able to think on their feet using their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist solicitors with administrative tasks such as opening and collating documents.
  • Manage clients' files from beginning to end of the visa process.
  • Liaise with clients via phone and email enquiries.
  • Draft submissions and research relevant legislation and case law.
  • Assist with court proceedings and other areas of law.

Requirements:

  • Previous paralegal experience in a law firm (preferred).
  • Immigration legal study is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-presented and punctual.
  • A professional phone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft suites and Microsoft Team software is an advantage.
