About the Role

The Australian Red Cross Young Parents Program (YPP) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to manage the educational wrap-around services available within YPP across all four sites.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection and child development needs, including best practice working with vulnerable children, adolescents, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the educational services provided to YPP clients, including direct provision of individual and group interventions.
  • Project and staff management, including supervision and support of team members.
  • Travel to support YPP's regional teams.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in social work, psychology, youth work, welfare, health, education, child protection, and/or early childhood.
  • Excellent understanding of child protection and child development needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the complex needs of vulnerable young people and children.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with, and manage teams to provide, accessible and safe support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and people with a disability.
  • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills.
