About the Role

The Assistant Director is a highly experienced Senior Educator who provides strong leadership support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre. This role is both on and off the floor, providing the opportunity to work alongside the children while also supporting the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Centre Director on day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the Centre.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs, leveraging your experience to create engaging and effective learning experiences for children.
  • Build positive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Seek perspectives, actively listen, and take on board feedback to further develop ideas or resolve concerns, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate warm, compassionate, and gentle communication, with strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills.
  • Support both families and educators to get the most out of our Centre, ensuring a high-quality experience for all.
  • Step up when the Centre Director is on leave, providing leadership and support to the team.
  • Maintain a mature and professional approach, focusing on quality improvement and supporting teams to understand and follow Green Leaves policy and procedure.
  • Display high levels of initiative and motivation, being professional, proactive, and flexible in your approach.
  • Be available to work 37.5 hours each week, on rotating shifts between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.
