**Description**:
The Assistant Director is an experienced Senior Educator who provides strong leadership support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre. The Assistant Director works to support the team in the development and delivery of high-quality education and care, and actively mentors and develops the broader team. Please note this role is both on and off the floor providing the opportunity to work alongside the children whilst also supporting the wide team.
About the role
- Work closely with the Centre Director on day-to-day operations
- Create positive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families
- Leverage your experience as you float between rooms to develop and deliver high standards of educational programs
- Seek perspectives, actively listen, and take on board feedback that further develops ideas or resolves concerns
- Demonstrate that you are warm, compassionate, and gentle with your communication and have strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills
- Support both families and educators to get the most out of our centre
- Step up when the Centre Director is on leave
- Mature and professional approach
- Focus on quality improvement and supporting teams to understand and follow Green Leaves policy and procedure
- Display high levels of initiative and motivation whilst being professional, proactive and flexible
- Be available to work 37.5 hours each week, on rotating shifts between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills**:

- Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching
- qualification
- Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
- State relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening
- Current Child Protection Training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and
- priorities, and managing time effectively.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience as an Assistant Director or Lead Educator
- Knowledge and experience with Qikkids and Educa (or similar equivalent
- platforms)
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Facebook.
