Job Title: Local Laws and Animal Management Team Lead

This senior leadership role requires a strong background in local laws, animal management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of officers to achieve objectives by guiding, coaching, training, and motivating them.
  • Provide strategic direction through data analysis, case reviews, and implementing improved ways of working.
  • Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while managing shifting priorities.
  • Apply municipal local law, Domestic Animals Act including evidence collection and note-taking, conflict resolution, and court procedures.
  • Analyze and assess team performance against targets and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A current Australian driver's license is required.
  • Proven experience leading people, including day-to-day supervision, development of work plans, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Superior customer service skills and demonstrated experience delivering service excellence.
  • Knowledge of engagement approaches to achieve open communication and collaboration with the community.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, planning, and organization of own work.
  • Experience in planning and delivering enforcement services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
