Renewable Energy Trader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Trader to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Orientate the optimization of physical and financial trading positions within real-time electricity markets to maximize value capture for clients.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities by collaborating with asset clients' operations staff.
  • Promote analysis and tool creation/improvement to achieve profit targets and optimal dispatch of assets.
  • Collaborate with data science, trading, and technical teams to develop and implement trading strategies and tactics.
  • Analyze the National Electricity Market to understand supply, demand, competitor strategies, and transmission constraints.
  • Track the competitive environment to inform Habitat's asset optimization strategy, positioning, and service offering.
  • Support relationships with key clients, market operators, and other stakeholders.
