Senior Contract Manager Job Summary

The Senior Contract Manager is a high-level role responsible for managing a team that develops strategic relationships with stakeholders, governs and manages contracts, provides analytical reporting, drives continuous improvements, establishes controls, ensures compliance and assurance, and provides contract management systems support.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. The successful applicant will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing governance frameworks;
  • Providing analytical insights to inform business decisions;
  • Driving innovation within the team;
  • Establishing and maintaining compliance processes;
  • Providing contract management advice to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business or law;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the government sector;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions;
  • High-level negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
