Fire Protection Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team at DynaFire. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work on various fire and life safety projects, ensuring the well-being of our clients and their assets.
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, installing, and repairing wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems, as well as testing and rebuilding backflow preventors.
- They will also identify trouble areas and perform services in an efficient and professional manner to guarantee that sprinkler systems operate properly.
Responsibilities
- Receive, distribute, lay out, and install all materials related to fire sprinkler system installation according to engineered drawings and job specifications.
- Systems types include wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, standpipe, and hose systems, with piping made from steel schedule 40, schedule 10, schedule 7, XL, CPVC, C-900, and/or ductile iron.
- Install all types of valves, devices, and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry pipe valves, pre-action, and deluge valves, including backflow prevention devices.
- Fabricate, cut, groove, and/or fuse (glue) piping when necessary on the job site.
- Cut and thread pipe to specifications using a power machine.
- Utilize necessary tools, including hand tools, ladders, lifts, drills, saws, and any tool required for a complete installation.
- Assemble and install piping according to NFPA and reasonable industry standards.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred.
- Fluency in back-flow, wet, and dry systems, fire pump, alarm device terminology is essential.
- NICET I Certification or Equivalent within 24 months from date of hire is required.
