Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Professional to lead our Practice Management Unit. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations, supervising administrative staff and providing strategic support to the team.

The role involves driving business growth, managing procurement, billing, and reporting for external legal services. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing systems to streamline legal information management and research tools.

You will have key responsibilities including:

  • Managing the division's legal matter management system and advice register
  • Developing templates and guides for internal teams
  • Procuring external legal services
  • Ensuring compliance with Legal Services Directions 2017
  • Developing and executing business strategies
  • Workforce planning and recruitment
  • Coordinating professional development and training
  • Internal budgeting and forecasting
  • Managing administrative support

We are looking for a candidate with proven capability in cultural competency, legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of in-house government legal functions.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of our leadership cohort, contributing valuable insights to the management of our organization.
