Perioperative Nursing Specialist

SA Health is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Nursing Specialist to join their team at Flinders Medical Centre. As a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of perioperative nursing experience, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThis Casual Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse position offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to work on a casual basis while contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, providing individualized care that meets the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and coordinating services with other disciplines or agencies to provide individualized health care needs
- Providing health promotion and education to patients or groups and carers to improve health outcomes
- Assessing individual patient needs, planning, implementing, and/or coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options
- Providing support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses, and other workers providing basic nursing care
- Recognizing and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately
- Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
- Minimum 3 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Ability to be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family-centered care
- Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $36.65 - $67.65, plus 25% casual loading (pro rata). In addition to a salary, SA Health offers salary sacrifice benefits, which provide the opportunity to save money by paying for everyday expenses from your salary before it is taxed.
