Our organization is currently seeking a dedicated animal caregiver to join our team in a casual position.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of dogs and cats in our facility.

  • Cleaning, feeding, and handling animals of different sizes, ages, and temperaments.
  • Bathing pets, exercising pets, health checking, and weighing pets under the instruction of their supervisor.

Key requirements include being:

  • Responsible and reliable in their duties
  • Compassionate and caring towards animals
  • Hardworking and willing to get hands dirty when needed
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Passionate about providing excellent animal care
  • Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients and staff
  • Flexible with working hours and able to adapt to changing situations
  • Reliable and trustworthy in their actions and decisions

While prior experience with animals is preferred, training will also be provided. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, efficient in their role, and able to learn quickly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and psychology
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds or more
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
