Compassionate Caregiver Opportunity

HammondCare Strathearn House is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of the residential care team, you will provide person-centred care and support to residents, prioritizing their needs and creating a home-like environment.

This role requires a high level of professional accountability and responsibility, with a focus on clinical oversight and competence as a registered nurse. You will work closely with management and carers to deliver tailored and individualised responsive care for residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Advising and supporting care staff in delivering quality care
  • Educating and mentoring colleagues in clinical areas and processes
  • Consultative case management and clinical decision-making
  • Clinical oversight and professional competence as a registered nurse
  • Implementing resident comfort-focused initiatives
To be successful in this role:
  • Have current AHPRA registration with 2-3 years' experience in aged care
  • Be flexible and committed to various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Value teamwork but also demonstrate ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Have knowledge and experience in caring for people living with dementia and their needs
  • Possess strong administrative and computer skills
