Overview

HammondCare Strathearn House are currently seeking experienced Part time Registered Nurses to join their team. With a unique model of care prioritizing resident needs, successful candidates will help create a home away from home for residents. The provided care will be person-centred and relationship-focused, understanding that no two individuals are the same.

This role is a clinical support position. It is expected that this role will be carried out in a consultative and advisory context rather than an authoritarian approach. The role comes with a level of professional accountability and responsibility aligned with registration requirements as a RN qualified and current registration with AHPRA.

Essence Of The Role

As the RN, you will be a core member of the residential team, working alongside management and carers to provide tailored and individualized responsive care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advising and supporting care delivery by care staff
• Educating and mentoring in clinical areas and processes
• Consultative in case management and clinical decision making
• Clinical oversight and professional competence as a Registered Nurse
• Implement and support a resident comfort focus
• Implement and support HammondCare's online reporting system

To Be Successful In This Role

• Have current AHPRA registration with ideally 2-3 years experience in an Aged Care setting
• Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
• Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
• Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
• Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & desire to make a difference in their lives
• Possess strong admin and computer skills
