Lead Training Development

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to join our Corporate Office team as the Lead for Standards and Training.

This full-time position can be based at any of our major office locations including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne.

  • The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of our national training strategy, ensuring operational staff have the skills to perform their work efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define, maintain and assure the standards by which our operational staff are trained and supported to perform their roles effectively and safely.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure consistency across the business.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation of all training and coordinate national training and facilitation calendars.
  4. Design new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Orders (WOs) by which all frontline operations staff perform their roles.
  5. Set standards of operational training for all frontline roles and develop competency assessment tools.
  6. Determine training delivery methods and assessment record management tools.
  7. Collaborate with other teams on meeting compliance goals and focusing on continuous improvement.
  8. Support and mentor colleagues to build and develop best practices.
  9. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training compliance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on multi-city or national training initiatives.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Training, Course Writing, or a related field.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management skills with experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Competency in documentation and records management using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
