Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager to lead the delivery of waste water projects in South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in civil engineering and strong leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and collaborating effectively with site teams and subcontractors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret project documentation, including contracts and specifications
  • Oversee project planning, programming, and resourcing from inception to delivery
  • Attend meetings with clients and manage correspondence
  • Work with site personnel to set up and deliver projects successfully
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project programs, managing extensions of time as required
  • Ensure QA, safety, environmental, and risk controls are in place and maintained
  • Conduct site visits and meetings to oversee project progress and performance
  • Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiations and claims
  • Handle project variations, RFIs, progress claims, invoices, and final completion documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within Australia
  • Proven background in managing waste water projects
  • Civil engineering qualifications are essential
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and specifications
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to deliver projects profitably
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with site teams and subcontractors
