Role Overview:
We seek experienced lawyers eager to lead transformation within the legal sector and redefine the modern lawyer's role.
To deliver comprehensive, efficient, and effective legal counsel to our clients, we are looking to appoint a Senior Associate in our expanding team to oversee a variety of litigation and contentious regulatory issues. This position will enable you to operate in a highly commercial manner, collaborating directly with multiple practice groups, partners, and a diverse range of clients across various sectors. The role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.
In addition to managing matters and conducting billable legal work, this position will serve as the APAC Service Owner for Document Review, working closely with the Global Service Owner to develop, sustain, and enhance the managed service function.
Furthermore, this role will function as a People Lead, responsible for managing, training, and developing 3-4 Delivery Managers/qualified lawyers, each with their own direct reports, aiming to foster a healthy, supportive, and motivating work environment.

Candidate Profile:
- Possession of an Australian practising certificate.
- A minimum of 7 years' legal experience in dispute resolution, litigation, or regulatory investigations within a reputable firm, government entity, or in-house position.
- Extensive experience managing litigation or contentious regulatory matters throughout their lifecycle, including large-scale document reviews and productions.
- A commitment to being part of a growing team focused on transforming client advisory services.
- Strong legal competencies, including drafting, negotiation, analysis, and project management.
- Experience in leading and mentoring successful teams on complex matters.
- A passion for quality, demonstrated by exceptional attention to detail.
- A positive, collaborative, proactive, and enthusiastic demeanor.
- A willingness to continuously learn and develop, with a desire to assist in training and mentoring others.
- Enthusiasm for challenging norms, innovating, and thinking creatively.
- A capacity to build relationships swiftly and engage confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders and clients at all levels. Experience in business development activities, including pitches and proposals, is advantageous.
- A skill for communicating complex issues clearly and effectively using plain English (both verbally and in writing).
