About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our team at Vicinity Centres. As a key member of our capital planning and delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all allocated projects nationally, on time, within budget, and in line with our risk and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including pre-construction cost estimates, planning and design schematics, construction documentation, permitting procedures, and approval tracking.
  • Collaborate with regional and local operational management teams on due diligence, feasibility studies, and requests for proposals to obtain cost estimates and bids.
  • Provide direction to architects, engineers, and contractors, including design, project management, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, ensuring compliance with owners' responsibilities and tenant lease requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of mall systems, existing and proposed, and the lifecycle for replacement, including electrical infrastructure, HVAC systems, vertical transportation, fire life safety, and data backbones.
  • Efficiently track and manage the scheduling of CAPEX project planning and permit submissions to local jurisdictional agencies.
  • Attend recurring action/asset meetings to ensure awareness of all aspects of the shopping centre, especially on issues related to capital delivery programs.
  • Collaborate with the internal design management group to prepare design briefs to align with budgeted CAPEX and centre transformational projects.
  • Visit shopping centres regularly to monitor progress of CAPEX work and promote methods to expedite the construction process.
  • Supervise the schedule of construction to ensure completion on or before the agreed contract schedule.
  • Perform detailed punch list inspections and issue a final written copy to the contractor upon completion of each project.
  • Ensure compliance of all close-out documentation in accordance with contract terms.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced project manager, construction manager, or architect with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety building infrastructure systems. You will have a strong commercial acumen, excellent problem-solving and communication capabilities, and the ability to work autonomously.

You will be known for your strong stakeholder management skills, excellent verbal, written, visual, and negotiating communication skills, and aptitude with both internal and external entities. You will have a strong understanding of project scheduling applications and project budgeting software.
