About the Role- Engage in meaningful conversations with residents, capturing their memories, stories, and messages for loved ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Listened attentively to residents' life experiences and recorded them in detail.
- Utilized digital recording tools and software to facilitate the transcription process.
- Worked independently, applying problem-solving skills while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
This role requires advanced knowledge of word processing software, typing skills of 50 words per minute, and willingness to learn new technology. A long-term commitment of up to 5 hours per week is essential, with flexibility to work on transcriptions in the evenings and conduct face-to-face interviews during weekdays (Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm) for one hour.
By volunteering as a social visitor, you can positively impact the lives of HammondCare residents, improving quality of life and reducing feelings of isolation.
