Life Story Collector

This is a rewarding experience where you will have the opportunity to listen to and write down the life stories of our residents.
As a volunteer biographer, you will gain valuable skills in listening, writing, and problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-depth interviews with residents to capture their life stories
- Writing down the stories and memories of our residents
- Using a dictaphone and transcription software program to record and edit the stories
Requirements for this role include:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Able to type at 50 words per minute
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
- Willingness to learn new technology and software
Availability for this role includes one hour each week for six months or longer. A suitable time can be discussed between Monday and Friday, 9am-4pm.
Personal requirements include:
- Being 18 years or older
- Having a National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us
- Completing NDIS screening
