Job Role

The Technology Support and Network Management Expert will report to the Manager of a digital partnership team. You will utilize your strong experience in level 2/3 technical support skills in networks and unified communications.

Responsibilities include designing, configuring, building, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise-class networks that incorporate voice, video, data, and messaging services using WAN, LAN, WWAN, WLAN, IP Telephony, and critical messaging systems. Technologies utilized include:

  • LAN/WLAN components (Cisco and Alcatel-Lucent products);
  • Cisco ISE, Cisco MSE, Cisco UCCM;
  • WLAN Controllers;
  • Alcatel-Lucent and/or Cisco Voice solutions;
  • Paging and messaging systems;
  • DHCP; and
  • Monitoring tools such as Cisco Prime and SolarWinds.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide support and assistance in clarifying and prioritizing tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels.
  2. Effectively supervise and manage visiting ICT support staff, including suppliers and vendors, by adhering to unit and organizational goals, policies, and procedures, and seeking opportunities to improve service provision through mentoring.
  3. Assist management in decision-making processes by preparing technical reports, specifications, and trend analysis within the unit.
  4. Provide operational support (on-site and remote) as required, including on-call rotation.
  5. Prepare, implement, and manage changes under the ITIL framework and eHealth's change management processes.
  6. Manage/support priority and major Incidents, including stakeholder engagement and post-reviews.
  7. Manage ICT assets by ensuring accurate recording of relevant information.

To succeed in this role, you must deliver high-quality ICT support to clients by managing workloads, prioritizing tasks, working unsupervised, maintaining awareness of new and emerging ICT technologies and products relevant to eHealth Queensland. Additionally, exceptional problem-solving skills and confident communication are essential. This includes consulting and liaising with stakeholders to resolve complex situations and provide a collaborative, solutions-focused service. You must engage with others of varied technical capability and knowledge to achieve common goals.
