Clough is currently searching for a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex engineering projects involving the planning, execution and management of heavy lift activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines. They will also have in-depth knowledge of heavy lift equipment, rigging and lifting techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Oversee the design and engineering of heavy lift operations, including lifting plans, rigging designs, and equipment specifications.
- Design and develop engineering solutions based on the heavy transport and installation requirements using SPMTs.
- Perform structural analysis and stress calculations to ensure the integrity of structures during lifting operations.
- Rigging design, including the selection of appropriate rigging equipment such as slings, shackles and spreader bars.
- Communicate lifting plans and safety procedures to the rigging crew and other relevant stakeholders.
- Oversea the setup and execution of rigging operations, ensuring compliance with the rigging plans and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the rigging crew during lifting operations.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
This role offers an opportunity to work on a landmark project that will generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, while delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.
The successful candidate will be part of a joint venture team, contributing to the delivery of the Project Ceres urea plant, one of the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world.
