Senior Women's Health Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and dynamic physiotherapy department in a tertiary hospital, currently undergoing major redevelopment.
The role will work as the Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health senior clinician, in a job share capacity, in outpatients, gynaecology and antenatal and postnatal clinics, and will support the inpatient antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology wards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a high quality women's and men's health physiotherapy service to both inpatients and outpatients at the hospital.
Service evaluation and development, use of advanced reasoning and practice skills in the management of women's and men's health patients of complex nature, and works in specialized multidisciplinary clinics.
Supervise, teach and train new graduate and rotational Level 1/2 Physiotherapists.
Working EnvironmentLocated in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.
The hospital provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
RequirementsCurrent Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload.
Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence based practice.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the physiotherapy management of: Antenatal and postnatal conditions, Musculoskeletal conditions related to pregnancy, Incontinence, Gynaecological conditions, Acute postnatal management, Acute post gynaecological surgery.
