About the Position:

Gartner Analysts are highly respected industry thought leaders who create indispensable research, market predictions, and best practices for a wide range of world-leading organizations.

A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights (BTI) sector, establishing themselves as a credible voice within their designated market at local, regional, and global levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged research for clients at global cloud technology and services providers.
  • Provide provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders that can influence the course of a research agenda.
  • Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and prediction of market trends and shifts to provide clients and vendors with actionable advice.
  • Offer clients and prospects strategic guidance aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience working for technology providers in the cloud and/or data center infrastructure space.
  • Expertise in public, private, and hybrid cloud services and technologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of the cloud services market, including leading providers, emerging providers, and their offerings.
  • Concrete experience of the product management lifecycle including product strategy, product realization, product launch, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence; able to establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions during 1:1 client inquiry.
